Obituary for Eunice Paula Rader (Beal)

Fairfax, Missouri

Eunice Paula (Beal) Rader, age 97, Fairfax, Missouri, died Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Community Hospital in Fairfax.

Eunice was born in Quitman, Missouri on July 30, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Hoyt) Beal.

Eunice attended Hagee Elementary School at Quitman. She later went to high School in Fairfax and was a graduate of the class of 1942.

Eunice married James A. Rader, Sr. on June 7, 1942. To this union three sons were born, James A. Jr. Kenny D. and John L. Rader. They lived on the family farm East of Fairfax.

Eunice had been a member of the Fairfax Baptist Church for 75 years. She was an active member serving as a Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir, serving on various committees, and she always helped with Bible School. Eunice was well known for her sugar cookies, providing them for Bible School and other events.

Eunice worked in the OB Department at Community Hospital in Fairfax for 15 years where she spoiled all the babies.

Eunice was a talented seamstress, sewing and doing alterations for many years. She also was exceptionally talented at and loved quilting. She worked at Fabrics Unique for 20 years and taught quilting classes.

Her memberships included: Sew and Sew Club, Community Hospital-Fairfax Auxiliary, charter member of the Piece Makers Quilt Guild. Eunice was the Auxillarian of the year in 2000.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Sr. (April 18, 1983), brother Zane Beal, sisters
Ogalee Loomis and Glenna Fincham and a great grandson Alex Rader.

Her survivors include three sons, James (Peggy) Rader, Jr., Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kenneth (Alice) Rader, Eagle, Nebraska, John (Shirley) Rader, Fairfax, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Fairfax Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fairfax. Memorial: Fairfax Baptist Church or Community Hospital-Fairfax Auxiliary. Services will be lived streamed on Schooler Funeral Home Fairfax Facebook Page.
