Obituary for Lora Jean "Jeanie" Edwards (Stoner)

Lora Jean “Jeanie” Edwards, age 87, formerly of Fairfax, died Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Tiffany Heights Care Center, in Mound City, MO. Where she had been a resident since April of 2016.
Jeanie was born December 30, 1933 in Forbes, Missouri, she was the daughter of James and Ethel (Schaffer) Kerns.
Jeanie was a graduate of Craig High School, Craig, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Jack Stoner on June 20, 1953. To this union six children were born,
Joanna, Mark, Jim, Jack, Ronnie, and John. Jack preceded her in death on August 10, 1975.
Jeanie later married Alfred Edwards on July 14, 1980. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2011.
Jeanie had worked as a bookkeeper for Rickel, INC. Grain Elevator in Craig. She also worked alongside Jack helping on the farm and being a homemaker. Later she had worked as the Convenience Store in Craig and Subway in Mound City, Missouri.
Jeanie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, word search puzzles, but most of all she loved seeing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Other family members preceding her in death were her parents, one son Mark Stoner and two brothers, Jim and Tom Kerns, and her sister Ann Twyman.
Her survivors include daughter Joanna (Kevin) Bomar, Craig, four sons Jim (April) Stoner, Rock Port, Missouri, Jack Stoner, Oregon, Missouri, Ronnie (Tamara) Stoner, Rock Port, John (Jessica) Stoner, Craig,
10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Per her request Mrs. Edwards has been cremated. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the IOOF Cemetery, Craig. The Rev. Mark Moon will be officiating.
