Obituary for Paul Hubbard Sr.

Paul Franklin Hubbard, Sr. age 93, Fairfax, Missouri, died December 12, 2020.

Paul was born March 29, 1927 in Irvington, Kentucky. He was the son of George and Maggie (Meador) Hubbard. His childhood was spent in the Irving and Louisville area. He moved from Kentucky to Fairfax, Missouri where he worked and raised his family.

Paul had served in the United States Armed Forces both in the Navy and the Army. In the Navy he attained the rank of seaman apprentice and was honorably discharged from the Army as a Corporal. He had fought for his county in both World War II and Korea, receiving the combat infantry badge and a purple heart.

While living in Fairfax he was a volunteer Fireman for 22 years. He also worked for Sly Lumber as a carpenter and truck driver.

Paul was united in marriage to Anna Alice Stine, March 4, 1955. She preceded him in death on February 28, 1979. He was later married to Sharon K. Smith on October 21, 1982. She also preceded him in death on March 7, 2015.

Others preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Virginia Johnson and her husband Gilbert, his brother Howard Hubbard, a grandson Luke Hansen and an infant great grandson.

His survivors include two daughters, Regina Noland and Paula Hansen, both of Maryville, Missouri, one son Paul Hubbard, Jr. of South Missouri, a sister Lucy Bassett of Louisville, Kentucky, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
