Obituary for Phyllis Jean Brandt

Fairfax, MO

Phyllis Jean Brandt, age 65, Fairfax, Missouri, died Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Missouri.

Phyllis was born July 28. 1956 in Fairfax. She was the daughter of Francis Eugene and Patsy Ann (Monroe) Brandt.

Phyllis was a graduate of Fairfax High School class of 1974.

Phyllis was united in marriage to Don Ray Taylor, August 9, 1975. They later divorced. In April of 1980 she was married to Dennis Raymond Collins. They later divorced.

As a born-again believer Phyllis attended the First Christian Church in Mound City. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She always found a way to witness to her family and many others, hoping that all would come to know Jesus as their Savior.

Phyllis loved to cook and bake. She was always sharing her goodies with her neighbors and others. She also enjoyed fishing with relatives, especially her fishing competitions with her nephew, Mason. More than anything, Phyllis loved to sew. Many of her friends and family benefited from her wonderful sewing ability.

Phyllis worked many jobs during her lifetime. Her favorite job was being a mom to her kids and babysitting her great nieces and nephews. Her grandkids brought her so much joy and she loved attending all of their activities.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Phyllis leaves as her survivors: children Tabitha (Robert) Foote, Mound City, Missouri, Dustin Collins, Fairfax, Duane (AK) Collins, Wahoo, Nebraska, Dawn Collins (Brian Moseley), Sidney, Iowa, Dylon (Carly) Faller, Ocean Side, California, Mother Pat Brandt, Fairfax, brother Donnie
(Brenda) Brandt, Fairfax, sister Nancy (Mike) Harrington, Fairfax, seven grandchildren, Quentin, Addison, Heaven, Grace, Ashlee, Caylee, Adlee, nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the First Christian Church, Mound City. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Monday, August 23, 2021, at the Schooler Funeral Home in Fairfax. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Craig, Missouri.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements Schooler Funeral Home Fairfax/Craig.
