Virgil Dale Joslin, the son of William Virgil and Ermel Lorene (Throckmorton) Joslin was born February 9, 1951 in Maryville, Missouri. He passed away at the age of 67 years on Sunday, July 1, 2018 surrounded by his children and family. He was close to his grandparents-Charles Eldon and Susie Pearl (Langley) Throckmorton.

Virgil Dale graduated from St. Gregory's School. At an early age, He started working for Merrigan Farms and J & L Merrigan Sale Barn. In His lifetime he worked for Maryville Packing Company, Pope & Talbott Diaper Factory, Reigel Textile, St. Francis Hospital, and Gray's Truck Stop.

He owned and operated Joslin Custom Butchering Service and farmed.

On October 27, 1973 he was united in marriage to Ellen Marie Henggeler. To this union five children were born: Maria, Chris, Jonathan, Nick, and Patrick. They raised their family on the family farm near Maryville, MO.

Virgil Dale was preceded in death by his parents-- William Virgil and Ermel Lorene (Throckmorton) Joslin, grandparents--Charles Eldon and Susie Pearl (Langley) Throckmorton; Edd and Annie (Squire) Joslin; and sister-Candia June Ebrecht.

He is survived by his children; Maria (Lee) Cossins, Chris, Jonathan, Nick and Patrick Joslin;
2 Granddaughters---Kassidy Nicole and Kyah Marie Joslin; Aunt Dorothy Louise (Joslin) Pasch, his Siblings: Erma Sue(David) Dredge and Russell Gale(Elizabeth) Joslin, both of Maryville, MO and many friends, customers, nieces and nephews.

MAY GOD BLESS HIS MEMORY AND GIVE STRENGTH TO THOSE WHO MOURN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri, with cremation to follow. Private family inurnment will be held later.
